We focus on enabling children displaced by conflict and those from marginalized communities have access to quality education.

DANDOR has a good experience in the subject matter of increasing the skills and employing opportunities to young group. DANDOR has vocational skill training center in Bosaso has been providing marketable skills to Puntland youngest since 2001.

We offer training to youth and women in marginalized communities to help them build their businesses and suport local economies.

DAN DOR should apply the rules and regulations for the communities and give awareness that is very essential for all living things. The environment is part of economics.

ABOUT DANDOR

DANDOR is a non-political, non-profit, non-governmental organization in Somalia. DANDOR is a voluntary humanitarian and development organization that has been established in 1992. 

DANDOR VISION

DANDOR organization will challenge towards the poverty alleviation in the war and famine affected societies of Somalia through utilization of indigenous knowledge and resources and through direct programming advocacy in equitable manner.

DANDOR MISSION

DANDOR shall remain to be a humanitarian, developmental organization that is committed to serve towards the well being of the Somalia and shall be committed to the socio-economic developments of its societies through the enhancement of effective measures of human development through capacity building and programming in environmental protection agricultural produce, skill development for employment opportunity and local resource management.

Education

We enable Out of School Children and IDPs in rural areas get access to quality primary education.

Health

We spearhead HIV/AIDS intervention for marginalized communities to reduce the risk of HIV infection.

Vocational Training

We providing training to youth and women to establish new businesses or expand their businesses.

ABOUT DANDOR YOUT VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER 

Since 2001, DANDOR YOUTH VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER has trained about 2500 youth in bosaso Puntland-Somalia.

The main programming focus of DANDOR is vocational skill development and has a vocational skill training centers in Bosaso, Badhan and dhahar. The organization is therefore experienced in skill development and with the priority trainings of the poor unemployed women and youth.

GRADUATION CERMONY

40 unskilled youth groups have graduated at DANDOR Vocational Training Center in Bosaso after finishing 3 months in Cooking, Tailoring and Carpentry courses. This project was funded by UNFPA/YPEER 

  • The trained from the IDP community will become productive members of their host community after being employed and earning better living as a result of increased employment.
